The exhibit displays about fifty photographs, among which a picture of the actress Rossy de Palma dressed as a "sexy nun" and the singer Alaska as a "sexy saint". The artist also poses with his husband Mario Vaquerizo in the manner of Michelangelo's Pieta.
The organiation Apostolado Eucaristico convoked a manifestation on Friday, February 17th, in front of the gallery to protest "against blasphemy" and "in defense of our Christian roots". "The blasphemous provocation threatens us again," says the website HazteOir. Another Foundation denounced it as an "injurious exhibit" and "a morbid and a virulent attack against the Catholic faith."
