Among the stolen items were figurines from a reenactment of the Fatima apparitions, the report states.
A year after the centenary celebration of their church, the reports state that the community is discouraged by the constant targeting of the Christian place of worship. The repeated nature of the reported "malicious" acts had a significant effect on the community, particularly because the church had been intentionally opened to the public on a daily basis. The parish priest, Fr. Laurent Nadembega, stated: "A church must be open to everyone at all times so that everyone can visit it, admire the architecture, or pray."
