Sacred Images Damaged in Ripatransone Cathedral
In Ripanstrone, the Cathedral was burgled and damaged by four unknown criminals on 24 August. The perpetrators stole donations and deliberately damaged several sacred images, including one of the Madonna and Child, which was found smashed.
The Cathedral in Ripatransone fell victim to burglary and deliberate damage of devotional objects. Four unknown individuals entered through the side door, stole approximately €2,500, the monthly donations from parishioners and damaged several sacred images, including one of the Madonna and Child, which was found smashed. The mayor stated it was "truly a shocking scene."
