Nine-Year-Old Boy Injured in Alleged Attack at Bus Stop
On 11 September, a nine-year-old boy was allegedly attacked by several children at a bus stop in Höchst after attending summer school. According to his father, the boy was pushed to the ground, punched and kicked, following threats and insults directed at him the previous day because of his Christian faith.
According to the father, one boy pushed the nine-year-old to the ground from behind, after which two other children punched and kicked him. A woman passing by reportedly noticed the attack, stopped, and intervened by pushing the children away. According to the report, the boy was subsequently examined by a doctor, having sustained injuries to his face, back and feet.
The father stated that the children had already threatened the boy with violence and insulted him because of his faith on the previous day. In a video interview, he stated that his family is Catholic and it was his understanding that the attackers were of Muslim faith.
The father filed a complaint with the Höchst police station.
