Figure of Jesus stolen from Nativity Scene and replaced with caricature
On December 12, a figure of the Child Jesus was stolen from a life-sized nativity scene at Benimaclet square, Valencia, just a few hours after the nativity scene was placed there. The unknown perpetrators furthermore replaced the figure with a caricature of Jesus.
"As if it were a nightmare, when the residents of Benimaclet woke up they could see that the image of Jesuset had been stolen and replaced by a caricature by some uncivic people who last night walked through the streets of our town with not very good intentions", Pueblo de Benimaclet Cultural Association said in the letter, in which they indicate that these actions "have been repeated for too many years".
