Pastor attacked while praying for protestors

A member of the Baptist church in Middlesborough was attacked by far-right protesters as he prayed alongside a rally on 4 August.
When the 70-year-old town centre vicar went out to pray for the protesters and positioned himself on the opposite side of the road to the protest, he was thrown against a wall. “It was horrible. I spoke with him this morning, and he was quite shaken up by the whole experience.” said the church's pastor, Stephen Sutton.
The protests took place across the country and were sparked by the Southport stabbings in July.
