All Saints Church in High Wycombe has renewed its appeal to install CCTV cameras following a troubling rise in anti-social behavior in its churchyard. Reverend Anthony Searle described the situation as a “serious and ongoing threat” to public safety, especially for clergy and congregants. The churchyard has become a hotspot for knife crime, drug abuse, and violent behavior.

The application notes that “many Church members, including clergy have expressed their fears as to their personal safety in the churchyard, particularly when having to pass through it at night.” It also highlights that “the churchyard has been a magnet for anti-social behaviour, including drug taking and dealing.” The proposed cameras would be discreetly mounted on the least visible side of the Grade I listed building, with minimal impact on its historic structure.
