Collegiate Church in Poissy smeared with anti-Christian graffiti

On March 9, the inscription 'Jesus NTM', an anti-Christian graffiti, was discovered at the back of the city's main religious building, the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame de Poissy. The inscription stands for 'F*ck your mother' and was found at the back of the 12th-century building, which is classified as a historical monument. The graffiti was believed to have been made the previous night.

Elected officials immediately denounced the act, expressing their anger and indignation.

Karl Olive, a Member of Parliament for the constituency, has expressed his support for Father Matthieu Berger and the entire Catholic community. He also expressed concenrs over the increasing number of anti-religious acts in the country, which are affecting all religions. The most recent incident was the discovery of Nazi and anti-Semitic tags near the Montbauron stadium in Versailles in January, which were the work of ultra-right activists.
