Article Questions Whether or Not Government in Ljubljana has Anti-Christian Agenda

Country: Slovenia

Date of incident: April 22, 2014

A group called KUL, founded in 2009 by Christian youth in Slovenia concerned with defending life and fundamental human rights, posted an article on their internet site on the 23rd of April, 2014 called, “Christianophobia: Is Mayor Zoran Janković violating human rights and promoting intolerance against Christians in Slovenia?” after Zoran Janković’s municipality had forbidden a mass to be celebrated for unborn babies at the hospital center of the public university of Ljubljana.

In this article, the group further explained that the municipality of Ljubljana authorized on the 22nd of April the atheist militant group called “The Coalition for the Separation of Church and State” to install booths in the public area of the city in order to collect signatures for a movement aiming to forbid parents from baptizing their under-aged children. Although this was in a public place, and therefore the Coalition had a certain right to be there, in fact, the initiative violates articles 41 and 63 of the Slovenian Constitution, argues the youth group.
