Church Set on Fire in Berlin

A Coptic church in Berlin was set on fire by yet unknown perpetrators in the early morning hours of October 4th. A dustbin was moved to the main door of the church and set on fire. The fire spread from the dustbin to the historical wooden door which was seriously damaged

Firemen managed to arrive early enough to prevent spreading the fire.
The chief magistrate of Berlin strongly criticized this act as well as other politicians and opinion leaders. The bishop of the Coptic church in Germany stated that such acts were frequent in Egypt; however in Germany they were extremely shocking to him. The Coptic church has its roots in Egypt.
