Chapel in Charleroi the Victim of Thieves
Thieves dismantled and carried away the metal roof of the Chapel of Saint-Joseph de Charleroi.
The crime occurred in broad daylight, without attracting the attention of passersby. While the motive in this event is not clear, the church represents a place of worship and Christian heritage in the town and the theft of the zinc roof and cornices left only the wooden structure. Charleroi local police opened an investigation.
