Christian Convert Attacked in German Refugee Camp

A 24-year-old Iranian was beaten with a baton by an Afghan man, who allegedly declared that it was not a sin to kill him, according to police. This attack is now being called attempted homicide by prosecutors.

According to Die Welt, he was left unconscious as a result of the attack. 15 to 20 people intervened and pulled the attacker away. The Afghan man was initially detained by the onlookers, but was able to flee.  He is believed to have "told some Afghan migrants that he had embraced Christianity," the Sunday Express reports. Officials in Hamburg-Eidelstedt, Germany have investigated and prosecutors have issued an attempted homicide warrant for the arrest of the perpetrator. Officials say that they cannot rule out religious motivation for this crime. Sources:
