Theft from Creche in Hauts-de-Seine
A statue of the Virgin of Fatima, given to the parish of Sainte-Bernadette de Chaville by the Portuguese community, was stolen on December 14th.
Several statues in the nativity scene were also stolen. The perpetrators took six pieces that were on display during Advent: the donkey, the ox and four sheep. According to the parish, the damage totals € 2000. The statues in the creche are made of stone and come from monastic workshops in Bethlehem. A police investigation has been initiated.
