Bremen Church the Victim of Burglary, Desecration and Vandalism
Unknown perpetrators broke into the St. Pius Church and stole the tabernacle with consecrated Hosts, offertory boxes, and sprayed fire extinguishing powder all over the inside of the church.
The dust cloud damaged the organ, which is still not playable. "We estimate the damage at 20000-30000 euros," says the pastor.
The stolen tabernacle was recently found it in a lake and returned by police.
