Christian Youth Organizations Will No Longer Work Alongside Public Youth Agencies
Ten Swiss Christian youth federations working with 10,000 young people every year will no longer have the support of the public authorities. The decision of the federal government (“Bundesrat”) comes after decades of successful collaboration.
This decision was made three years after the Swiss government to stop funding the Christian youth organizations. The government’s decision is “degrading” for Christians workers, said Andi Bachmann-Roth of the SEA Youth Alliance. There have been many negative responses to this decision and an online petition to reverse the decision reached 11,500 signatures in just two days. Source: Evangelical Focus
