Professor Threatened Priest and Others in Nice

Country: France

Date of incident: January 23, 2018

"Frank C.," a German philosophy professor, made death threats against a priest, a lawyer, a police officer, Christian Estrosi (the mayor of Nice), and magistrates in Nice. He was arrested and remanded for trial in Grasse.

It appears that the situation began with a property dispute. The professor began making threats on his blog, against a backdrop of "defending or justifying terrorism" ("sur fond d'apologie du terrorisme"). After a short stay in a psychiatric unit, he offended again. His case was then sent to the prosecutor's office.
