Fire in a Church in Ravensburg

Country: Germany

Date of incident: March 10, 2018

A small fire in a church was reported in Ravensburg on the same day as a devastating fire in the St. Jodok Church.

On March 10th, an electrician discovered that a partition had been burned next to the altar in the Catholic church of St. Martin. It was reported that matches were found on the ground near the church exit. By the time the incident was discovered, the fire had already extinguished itself and had not spread further.

Later in the day, the historic church of St. Jodok was the victim of a major fire. Officials investigated whether the two incidents were connected and did not rule out arson.

The damage was estimated at about 300 euros.
