Attack and Desecration in Catholic Church in Castellón

The parish church of the small town of Teresa - 1 hour by car from Valencia - suffered a robbery and desecration on May 9th after one of the back doors of the temple was forced, the money from the alms was taken and the chalices containing consecrated forms were thrown to the ground.

Some parishioners discovered on entering the temple that unknown persons had been there after forcing a back door that leads to a small garden.

Inside the church, the money was taken from the alms box, the chalices containing the Eucharist were scattered in front of the altar, while in the sacristy someone had stirred the drawers and thrown the liturgical vestments on the floor.

After the discovery, the City Council called the police.
