Unknown Perpetrators Damaged Protestant Church in Usingen

Country: Germany

Date of incident: March 16, 2020

Between Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th unknown vandals broke a window on the west side of the Protestant Laurentius church in Usingen. They also damaged two glass doors on the tower portal, but they failed to destroy them completely.

"The current damage to property unfortunately shows that vandals do not stop at churches. When our church was still regularly open outside of events, we unfortunately had a case of vandalism in the church interior as well. So we could only keep the church open if it was staffed by a supervisor. Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment (becuase of the corona cisis)." said Pastor Dr Wahl.
