Convert Stabbed with Knife Outside Grindtorp Church
Hossein Hosseini, a young convert from Islam to Christianity, was stabbed with a knife at Grindtorp Church in Täby, in the Stockholm area. According to reports, he has been receiving online death threats for a long time. He says he is "very scared".
It is not uncommon for people who have converted from Islam to Christianity since coming to Sweden to be persecuted and threatened - or in the worst cases attacked with weapons.
The news page made a comparison to a similar case in 2019, where the Salvation Army took up a case involving a man from Morocco. The man under the name Adam was brought up with Islam, went to Koranic school but converted to Christianity and escaped to Sweden. Now he lives under threat. (Salvation Army)
