Hate Crime Against St. Mary Catholic Church Church

Country: United Kingdom

Date of incident: May 15, 2020

On the night of Friday 15th to Saturday, St. Mary Catholic Church in Ahoghill was attacked with paint thrown in front of the church and across the door. The police is treating the incident as a hate crime.

"An attack on any place of worship is an attack on the entire community who, in normal times, assemble there. Everyone has the right to practice their faith and have their place of worship respected. This attack does nothing to advance any cause and only brings shame on those responsible."- said Steward McDonald from TUV. (Irish news)
