A Series of Thefts and Vandalism in Churches in the Area of Euskirchen Since July

Since the beginning of July, in the district of Euskirchen, there have been several break-ins in churches and vandalism or theft of donation money. The acts happened mostly on weekends. In a near region, also four churches were broken-in. The police are investigating.

The following Churches were broken-in, vandalized or stolen: 

St.Matthias Church in Sötenich (03.July),

the St. Matthias Church in Reifferscheid (19.July),

Catholic Church of Blankenheimerdorf (9. August),

St. Antonius Church in Dottel (10. August),

St. Gangolfus Church in Ramscheid (13.August),

for a second time the St. Matthias Church in Reifferscheid (15. August),

the Ahekapelle of Engelgau (20. September)

and the Marienkapelle of Firmenich (21. September).
