Blasphemous Christmas Movie Screens at European Cinemas

Country: International

Date of incident: November 1, 2011

The Warner Bros production "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas", profanes Christian symbols and traditions. It contains sacrilegious humor, graphic non-marital and aberrant sexual activity, full nudity, a benign view of drug use, about a half-dozen instances of profanity and pervasive rough and crude language."

The movie contains sexual excess, vulgar language, and insulting humor that constitutes a consistent attack to the traditional Christian holiday of Christmas. The film shows a teenager character named Mary, who wants to have her first sexual encounter on Christmas Eve, in order to be no longer like the „virgin Mary“, It also shows lesbian nuns and pedophile priests molesting an altar boy; and a gigolo Jesus Christ who lives in his father’s house, a Playboy residence with barely covered girls. The anti-Christian background of the film has been highlighted by John Mulderig in a Catholic News Service review: "The film contains sacrilegious humor, graphic non-marital and aberrant sexual activity, full nudity, a benign view of drug use, about a half-dozen instances of profanity and pervasive rough and crude language."  "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas", a Warner Bros. production, was written by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg; directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson; and shows John Cho and Kal Penn in the main roles. The Catholic News Service classification is O -- morally offensive. In the US the movie is considered R (restricted), and minors under 17 need parent or adult guardian to attend the screening.
