Most expensive Turkish TV series ever produced now shown in cinemas. The "bad guy" is Christian.
"The Valley of the Wolves" is the most expensive TV series ever produced in Turkey. The Anti-Hero is a Christian who fulfills all negative sterotypes: He is after money and he creates violent plans while praying under the cross. The movie applauds Turkish nationalism and fosters various prejudices. On December 30th, 2007, an attack on an Orthodox priest was foiled by Turkish police. The suspect confessed that he had been influenced by the portrayal of Christian missionaries in the TV series “The Valley of the Wolves”. (Please view our report of the case)
