Church Vandalised at Aulnay-Sous-Bois

The church of Saint-Jean of Aulnay-Sous-Bois has been twice vandalised in April. The parish priest and the numerous catholic community are chocked before such acts.

Patrick Morvan, the priest of Saint-Jean’s parish, observes the damages: «They went into the sacristy (...) broke two wooden cross and tore a picture of the two popes (John Paul II and Benedict XVI). The wall of the sacristy was also damaged». The Prefect Mr. Christian Lambert came to meet with the parish priest and observe the damages. On April 6th, the church had already been visited by vandals: the doors had been broken, the tabernacle ripped open, and five microphones were stolen. «In addition to property infringement, damages and thefts, it is the respect for the people and the sacred places which is violated", says the parish priest, Fr.
