Church Desecrated in Echillais
On Monday July 21st, the sacristan of the medieval church of Echillais discovered that the church had be stained, desecrated and that the vandals had probably entered in it with there scooters.
The baptismal font was found outside of the church, the organ was completely vandalized and the whole church stained with wheel tracks stains. A cross of the XVIIth century was laying on the floor, broken into pieces. The first deputy of the town, Michel Gaillot was under a shock but decided with the sacristan that the church would be kept opened and never be locked.Source:
