Arson in Steinfeld Church: Cloth Set Alight, Bible Damaged
On May 2, 2023 between 14:00-18:00, a cloth on a stand of Saint Leodegar Church in Steinfeld, Germany, was set on fire, burning the cloth to crisp and damaging the Bible on the stand in the church.
To the right and left of the Bible there are candles, which were not usually on. They were also set alight by the vandal. In the past, the church has suffered from minor vandalisation like having the walls smeared and other pollution but never a fire. The police have started an investigation.
