Arson Attack on Priest's Car
Priest Don Giovanni Rigoli's car was set on fire by an unknown perpetrator. This happened after the celebration of a funeral in the parish church of Santo Stefano.
The incident has raised a lot of concern in the community and officials have expressed their solidarity with Fr. Giovanni Rigoli, stressing that these kind of attacks on innocent priests cannot be tolerated in the community.
There has been a rise in violence against priests in southern Italy, particularly in Calabria as it is directly connected with the attack on January 15.
