St. Joseph Church in Schalke Vandalised
In the course of a series of vandalism attacks, the St. Joseph Church in Schalke has also been targeted. The perpetrators threw projectiles through the stained windows destroying four windows, breaking a door and two gates.
This comes after a three burglary attempts to St. Joseph Church in the past few weeks. A local resident commented: "Ten years ago there were on attacks on churches. This is a more recent phenomenon. Why these attacks have increased? I have no idea. There seems to be a great thurst of destroying things. This is annoying, sad and depressing."
