Repeated vandalism of the "White Virgin of Madrid"
According to news reports from March 2024, a statue of Mary in Madrid has been repeatedly vandalised. After Halloween, the statue was found with satanic signs on its face.
The "White Virgin of Moncloa" (Madrid) statue has been a target of vandalism attacks for many years. In the past, the statue had been completely vandalized, covered with graffiti, damaged with bottles and even burned. In March 2024, volunteers restored the statue and built a fence to ensure future protection. "Everything Catholic today is often the object of mockery of recklessness", one of the young volunteers commented, remembering the past incidents of vandalism.
