Objects from church art project stolen and vandalised
In recent weeks, unknown persons have stolen or vandalised five works from a church art project at the Heiliggeist Church Bern.
The project by the artist Philipp Zürcher aimed at raising awareness about the fate of migrants crossing the Mediterranean Sea and consisted, among other things, in displays of an inflatable boat with human clothing on it. The removal of the objects is most likely connected to the controversies on migration policies in the country.
