Woman attacked by burglar during mass
A woman was attacked by a burglar when entering Saint-Étienne Cathedral for mass on March 16.
A young woman, 22, of Brazilian origin, was arrested by the police in Cahors after a series of thefts. In the Saint-Étienne Cathedral she hid behind the front door and allegedly assaulted a lady going to mass, trying to steal her handbag. When the victim resisted the attemted theft the woman attacked her and threw on the ground. According to the court, the victim suffered injuries and has been declared incapable for work for three days.
