Arson attack on French Church
A fire broke out in the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Agneaux on Thursday afternoon, April 4. According to police investigation's initial findings, the fire was intentional.
The fire started in a side door, which was completely burnt down, as were some chairs. "We're doing fine. Now we're airing out the building because there's a strong smell of smoke. The fire brigade quickly brought the fire under control and were on the scene very quickly", said city Mayor Alain Sévèque.
The provisorial venue to hold the mess is the church of Sainte-Croix in Saint-Lô.
