Sacred objects stolen from church

Two wooden and brass crucifixes, a brass incense holder and a diary in the sacristy of the Church of Maria Santissima del Pane in Novoli were stolen on the night of 30 October.
The suspect, a 58-year-old local criminal, has been reported.
The theft, beyond the economic value of the sacred objects, had shaken the community of believers, and immediately after the parish priest raised the alarm, the military began an investigation, identifying the man thanks to video surveillance images.
The stolen objects were found in the home of the alleged thief and returned to the parish.
