Nativity scene in Roque-Gageac set on fire

A nativity scene set up by the local council in the village of Dordogne burnt down on the night of Friday 27 to Saturday 28 December. Although investigations are still underway, the mayor strongly suspects that the fire was deliberately set.
A Nativity scene set up for the Christmas holidays under the town hall of a village in the Dordogne, La Roque-Gagean, was set alight on the night of Friday 27 to Saturday 28 December. The mayor of the village, Jérôme Peyrat, announced that he had filed a complaint. According to him, "the cold, the frost, the humidity, the absence of a candle and the absence of electricity unfortunately lead us to believe that this was a deliberate act which would have had more serious consequences for the structure of the hall and the surrounding chalets". The exact origin of the fire is not yet known.
