BBC Has Anti-Religion Bias, Executives Admit
Leading representatives admitted that the BBC is guilty of promoting left-wing views and an anti-Christian sentiment. During the meeting senior staff commented they would happily broadcast the image of a Bible being thrown away - but would not do the same for the Koran.
Even from the ranks of Muslims this remark was strongly criticized. Ishmail Farhat of the Muslim Association of Britain said: "We don't support this kind of action or abuse. If they are respecting all religions - then they should treat all religions the same."
BBC is urged to be more self-critical to keep in line with the journalistic standards of impartiality and neutrality if the television broadcasting wants to avoid the risk of being withdrawn the license by the official regulator.
