Report France 2010: Vandalism Up 34%, 84% Directed Against Christian Sites

The Former French Minister of Internal Affaires, M. Hortefeux, wrote on November 2nd 2010 a letter addressed to the Commissioner of Human Rights of the Council of Europe on that matter. He draws his attention to the number of vandalism acts and on their increase, particularly concerning Christian sites. He reports: «the total number of cemeteries and places of worship damages between January 1st and September 30th, 2010 totaled 485, including 410 against Christian sites, 40 Muslim sites and 35 Jewish sites».
