Hungarian Cardinal Peter Erdö condemns all forms of intolerance and discrimination against Christians
at the opening of the plenary meeting of the Council of European bishops’ conferences in Budapest on Oct 1st of 2008. The international community must fight this discrimination with the same determination as they would fight hatred against members of other religious communities, he said. The cardinal emphasized that intolerance of Christianity could be spotted also in untruthful media reporting on the Catholic Church, portraying only a “caricature” of the Church.
