Vandals Wreck Church Hall

A Church Hall in Northern Ireland was left in ruins after a nighttime break-in. Windows were smashed, religious texts thrown out, and food smeared across the interior—prompting community outrage and a police investigation.
The PSNI is investigating a burglary and extensive vandalism at Mullaghfarne Church Hall, linked to Ardess Parish Church in rural County Fermanagh. Discovered on July 7, the damage included every window smashed, the front door broken, and religious items—Bibles, hymnals, and prayer books—hurled through shattered glass.
Inside, perpetrators had strewn tomatoes, eggs, and yoghurt across the hall. Ulster Unionist councillor and parishioner John McClaughry condemned the act as one driven by “a lot of hatred,” calling it “quite sad.” The incident has sparked anger and distress in the local community, and police are treating it as a burglary while investigations continue.
