Rocks Thrown at Bridgwater Baptist Church During Service
During Sunday Worship at the Bridgwater Baptist Church, rocks thrown through church window. One person got hit by the falling glass and the congregation reported feeling unsafe.
The incident occurred on Sunday 31 August as approximately 120 members of MSBN Bridgwater were gathered inside Bridgwater Baptist Church for worship. During the service, stones were thrown through the church windows, with one congregant reportedly struck by falling glass.
Manolo Lubiana, youth pastor for the group using the church at the time, said the congregation was left shaken by the attack. "It could have been someone attacking the church." He added that the group felt “unsafe” following the incident. Some members went outside and observed individuals running around a neighbouring abandoned pub, which is also believed to have been broken into around the same time. Police were called to the scene and have since launched an investigation.
