On September 6, unknown perpetrators entered the publicly accessible city church in Melsungen, where they vandalized religious items. A baptismal candle was thrown from its wooden stand and broken, and a donation box in the “Silent Corner” was defaced with burnt matches, melted candle wax, and a scorched pencil.
