Graphic Depicting Violence Against Christians Shared Ahead of Vienna March for Life

The incident concerns a post published on 27 May 2025 by the Instagram account “Marsch fürn Arsch,” which has been associated with the organisation of counter-protests against the Vienna March for Life. The graphic depicts a giant holding the lifeless body of a human figure. The figure is shown holding an Austrian flag and wearing a crucifix, visually identifying it as a Christian symbol.
The imagery suggests a symbolic act of violence directed at a person associated with Christianity in the context of an upcoming Christian event. Later, physical violence by extremist groups against participants of the March for Life was also recorded at the event.
According to reports, the image was part of a broader series of provocative posts and incitement to violence aimed at religious actors in the context of the upcoming pro-life march.
