Bronze cross stolen from cemetery in Aire-sur-l’Adour

During the morning of 4 November 2025, a resident discovered that a bronze cross, which had been standing on her family grave for over 40 years, had been stolen from the cemetery in central Aire-sur-l’Adour. The local authorities reported the incident as a serious act of theft and highlighted the emotional and cultural impact of the crime.
The municipality has filed a complaint with law enforcement and stated that measures will be taken to prevent further incidents.
