Cabinet Set on Fire Inside Church
A woman discovered flames and smoke inside the parish church of Sedico. Police are suspecting an arson by vandals who targeted the building.
On December 2, 2025, a woman entering the parish church of Sedico in Belluno found flames and smoke rising from a cabinet that contained liturgical booklets. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and ventilated the nave, while parish priest Don Giancarlo Gasperin called the Carabinieri and filed a complaint. Investigators suggested the fire may have been retaliation after vandals forced open a donation box under the candlesticks and found it empty.
