Two Churches and Christmas Marked Vandalised with “Allah” Graffiti
Two churches, a parish facility, and other buildings in Delmenhorst were vandalised with red paint. The graffiti included the word “Allah” written in Arabic script.
The incident was discovered on 29 November 2025, when several buildings were found defaced with red paint with the word "Allah" written in Arabic letters. Among the affected sites were two churches, including the gate of the city church, as well as a parish building and a Christmas marked.
In addition to religious buildings, other targets included a communal accommodation facility on Westerstraße, residential buildings, and stalls at the local Christmas market. Police confirmed that the word “Allah” had been written in Arabic script on multiple buildings. The use of religious terminology and script suggests a symbolic dimension to the act.
Investigations are ongoing, and no suspects have been identified.
