Blood Found on Altar in Church Desecration
A desecration of the Church of the Angel in Camaiore involved blood traces on the altar, misuse of sacred objects, and prompted both police investigation and a call for reparation by the Archdiocese of Lucca.
On December 13, 2025, unidentified individuals entered the Church of the Angel in Camaiore, Italy, which had been closed for structural issues, and carried out acts of desecration involving sacred furnishings and blood traces on the altar. Police conducted forensic examinations to determine the dynamics of the incident, while the Archdiocese of Lucca confirmed that “objects present in church were used and blood stains appeared on the altar”.
