The brazen act of vandalism defaced one of the city’s most historic and symbolic religious sites, shocking councilor Andrea Demarchi, who condemned it as “an act against Christianity” and called for action against the “growing delinquency and situation of degradation.” He urged urgent measures to restore security, prevent further attacks, and coordinate with provincial authorities for the church’s restoration.
