Man Threatens Sacristan During Mass

A man disrupted multiple Masses at a parish in Dos Hermanas, Sevilla, by demanding money from worshippers and threatening the church sacristan with death threats and xenophobic insults.

The incidents began in late June 2025, when the individual repeatedly entered the church during services, pressuring mainly elderly congregants to hand over cash. On one occasion, after being asked by the sacristan to leave, he responded with death threats and xenophobic insults.

Following a formal complaint, the Policía Nacional conducted an investigation that led to the identification and location of the suspect. He was detained in July 2025 and placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
