On 12 January, a church in Metz was vandalised, marking a repeated attack on the Église de la Sainte-Famille.

The incident occurred in the La Patrotte district of Metz, in the Moselle department of north-eastern France. A large window of the church was broken, adding to previous acts of burglary and profanation targeting the same building in late 2024 (OIDAC reported).

The mayor of Metz publicly condemned the attack as unacceptable. At the time of reporting, no suspects had been identified or apprehended, and the police investigation was ongoing.
