Third Attack Hits Feldkirchen Church
Vandals left a trail of destruction in the Maria im Dorn church in Feldkirchen, Austria, where the interior was found heavily damaged, leading to its temporary closure.
Craft displays were destroyed, benches damaged, flowers uprooted, and other items displaced or broken. A piano was soaked with holy water, and the sound system sustained damage. This marked the third time in recent months that the church had been targeted.
The destruction primarily affected church furnishings and decorative elements, compromising both the functionality and appearance of the interior. As reported by Kronen Zeitung, Parish council member said, “We are deeply saddened and shocked by the events that have taken place recently, and especially on Monday, in our parish church of Maria in Dorn and in the urn house,” describing the situation as a display of “so much hatred and violence”.
Authorities confirmed that investigations were underway, and an official complaint had been filed, but no arrests had been made at the time of reporting.
